Bukit Jalil, 12 December 2024 – ZakatMalaysia.com made an official visit to Yatiyamie Kids Resources, a company known for its educational product brand Bebecucu, in an effort to strengthen its relationship with zakat payers and to introduce Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh as a registered zakat collection assistant (Penolong Amil) under the Selangor Zakat Board (Lembaga Zakat Selangor).
The visit was attended by representatives from the Fund and Zakat Department, Ms. Nurul Hajjar and Ms. Fadhilah, who were warmly welcomed by the Managing Director of Yatiyamie Kids Resources, Ms. Nur Hayati binti Samsul Baharil. The discussion, held in a cordial atmosphere, provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the role of zakat in community development, particularly in the fields of education and welfare.
As a company active in the early childhood education industry, Yatiyamie Kids Resources is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through zakat contributions. This discussion also opened up opportunities for potential strategic collaboration between the company and Islamic educational institutions such as Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh, which serves as an appointed zakat assistant (penolong amil) in distributing aid to underprivileged groups (asnaf) in need.
According to Cik Puan Nurul Hajjar, this visit is part of ZakatMalaysia.com's initiative to engage more companies and institutions that fulfill their zakat obligations, in order to ensure that the benefits can be distributed more effectively. "We believe that a strong relationship between zakat payers and zakat management institutions can enhance the effectiveness of distribution and broaden the positive impact on society," she said.
Puan Nur Hayati also expressed her appreciation for the efforts of ZakatMalaysia.com in facilitating zakat payments and the distribution of its benefits to eligible recipients. "We at Yatiyamie Kids Resources are truly honored to be part of the zakat ecosystem and hope that our contributions can help those in need," she said.
The visit concluded with a further discussion on the role of assistant amils and the opportunities for corporate companies to be more actively involved in supporting charitable efforts through zakat. With such collaborative partnerships, it is hoped that zakat payments will not only benefit the asnaf (eligible recipients) but also elevate Islamic educational institutions as centers for community development.
