Wangsa Maju, 12 December 2024 – ZakatMalaysia.com made an official visit to Keedsflix Campus Safinah An-Najah Kindergarten as part of its efforts to strengthen ties with zakat payers and to introduce Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh as a registered zakat collection representative (Penolong Amil) under the Selangor Zakat Board (Lembaga Zakat Selangor).
The visit was attended by representatives from the Department of Funds and Zakat, Ms. Nurul Hajjar and Ms. Fadhilah, who were warmly welcomed by Ms. Shahirah Sarah Binti Ruslan Henry. The discussion, held in a cordial atmosphere, provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the role of zakat in community development, particularly in the fields of education and welfare.
As an early childhood education institution, Keedsflix Campus Tadika Safinah An-Najah is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through zakat contributions. The discussion also opened up opportunities for potential strategic collaboration between educational institutions and zakat management organizations, which serve as zakat collection agents (penolong amil) in distributing aid to deserving asnaf groups.
According to Cik Puan Nurul Hajjar, this visit is part of ZakatMalaysia.com's initiative to engage more institutions that fulfill their zakat obligations, to ensure its benefits are distributed more effectively. “We believe that a close relationship between zakat payers and zakat management institutions can enhance the efficiency of distribution and broaden the positive impact on the community,” she said.
Puan Shahirah Sarah expressed her appreciation for the efforts of ZakatMalaysia.com in facilitating zakat payments and distributing its benefits to eligible recipients. “We at Keedsflix Campus Tadika Safinah An-Najah are truly honored to be part of the zakat ecosystem and hope that our contributions can help those in need,” she said.
The visit concluded with a further discussion on the role of assistant amil and the opportunities for educational institutions to be more actively involved in supporting charitable efforts through zakat. With such collaborative partnerships, it is hoped that zakat payments will not only help the asnaf (eligible recipients) but also elevate Islamic educational institutions as centers for community development.
