Kuala Lumpur, 23 December 2024 – As an effort to strengthen ties with zakat contributors, the zakatmalaysia.com team conducted a visit to Keedsflix International Sdn Bhd. The visit aimed to build strategic networking and introduce the role of Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh as a registered zakat assistant under the Selangor Zakat Board.

The zakatmalaysia.com delegation was led by Tuan Ts. Azril Hanafi, Manager of the Funds and Zakat Department, who, along with his team, conducted an engagement session with Keedsflix International Sdn Bhd. Their arrival was warmly welcomed by the company’s three Co-Founders: Tuan Azri Jemani, Puan Safinah Ahmad, and Puan Rostina Rauf.

During this meeting session, zakatmalaysia.com shared information on the importance of paying zakat through certified zakat agents (penolong amil) and the benefits companies can gain as zakat contributors. The discussion also touched on possible initiatives and collaborations that could be carried out together to strengthen the role of zakat in supporting the asnaf (eligible recipients).

One of the key aspects highlighted was the involvement of Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh as a recognized zakat collection agent (penolong amil). This maahad not only serves as an Islamic educational institution but also plays a role in managing and distributing zakat to rightful recipients.

Keedsflix International Sdn Bhd, as a company committed to zakat payment, also expressed its support for efforts to raise public awareness and understanding of the obligation of zakat. They welcomed zakatmalaysia.com's initiative in providing a digital platform that facilitates systematic and transparent zakat payment.

The visit concluded with a photography session and the presentation of a token of appreciation in recognition of Keedsflix International Sdn Bhd's ongoing support and commitment in fulfilling their zakat obligations. It is hoped that this collaboration will continue to be strengthened for the benefit of the ummah and the well-being of the asnaf community.
